The Rundown: Ludo is a band from St. Louis, Missouri. Consisting of Andrew Volpe, Tim Ferrell, Tim Convy, and Matt Palermo. Ludo has released four studio albums: Ludo (2004), Broken Ride (2005), You’re Awful, I Love You (2008), and Prepare the Preparations (2010). “Love Me Dead” from the album, You’re Awful, I Love You, reached #8 on the U.S. Alternative Song Chart (formerly Modern Rock Tracks).

Honestly, I thought this band was bigger than they are. I thought for sure this band made it big with their song Love Me Dead. Imagine my surprise when I heard a local band from my area on the radio, and then finding out they aren’t as popular as I thought.

I have been to a couple of their live shows, both pre and post their current full lineup. These guys are the real deal. Lead singer, Andrew Volpe, is a funny guy and a lyrical genius. There is a ton of energy at their shows and it’s contagious, plus, how often will you find a band who can play the Ghostbusters Theme Song so well? Ludo is a pleasant mix of a tiny bit of pop, a little punk, a lot of rock and a little comedy.
