Potpourri Background Info

“Meeting at a wine tasting on the shores of Nantucket, Vincent and Rocco had instant chemistry. With palates so adept in detecting the smoky, the dry, and the bittersweet, tonguing music’s emotional clitoris proved an easy task.”

MarsBands Review

It’s fun when you get to listen to music all day. Sometimes you listen to something and you are less than impressed, as the music is tired, boring, and unoriginal. But other times you listen to something so unique, so unlike anything else you’ve ever heard, so full of talent and emotion, you are completely blown away and sucked in all at the same time.

Potpourri falls into the latter category. And I actually gave this one considerable thought, trying desperately to find someone or some band to compare Potpourri to to give you some idea of what you’re in store for. I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t even come close. Potpourri is a band and a sound all their own. I can honestly say I have never quite heard anything like Potpourri, and I have heard a lot of music. So if your checklist for determining awesome music requires originality, you’ll find it in abundance with these guys.

The most prominent thing you’ll notice about Potpourri when you first listen is the voice. A truly unique voice. Kind of like a soft whispering, similar to, yet distinctly different from, that of Yusuf Azak. It’s a voice that draws you in and forces you to pay attention. You will be comforted, intrigued, and perhaps even a little caught off-guard. I know I was.

The first time I listen to music, I never know what to expect. Sometimes I get clues and ideas based on the genre provided by the band, but that can only tell you so much. If you’ve never heard Potpourri before, words cannot really prepare you for the voice. You will be floored, so I would recommend that you be sitting down when you listen.

The music is soft, tranquil, elegant and atmospheric. You feel like the music is encompassing you, surrounding you with fantastic vibrations that tease your ears with a barrage of instruments. I tried to take note of all the instruments used in Potpourri’s music, but I gave up. There’s too many instruments used and I’m not a very good counter.

And one of the great things about Potpourri is the fact that they are able to actually use a wide range of instruments. They’re not just throwing in stuff just for the sake of adding something in. The instruments they add to any particular song add to an already impressive construct of harmony, melody, and brilliant talent. Like a master painter with their brush and paint, Potpourri uses instruments to create layers of music all within one song.

If you are in the mood for some music that is truly unique and original, look no further than Potpourri. And once you’ve picked your jaw up off the floor, you’ll want to tell all your friends, so feel free to share all the links from Potpourri below.

And as a side-note, I have read a lot of band bios. Some bios are crazy long, providing every detail from birth to present day. Some are insanely short and lacking in info. Some, like Potpourri’s are the perfect blend of info and teaser that when you read it, compels you to check them out. Enjoy!

Still Average Background Info

“Still Average is a pop-punk/post-hardcore band from Seabrook, New Hampshire. The band currently consists of lead vocalists Sean Hamilton (clean vocals/bass) and Dan Higman (scream vocals), as well as temporary members Tyler Emerson (drums) and Ben Hunton (guitar). Their music is often described by fans as a blend between Blink-182 and A Day To Remember. Their music is written primarily on the foundation of pop-punk, making use of power chords, octaves, palm mutes, and catchy melodies. However, they also incorporate some of the things that define post-hardcore, such as fast breakdowns and scream vocals.”

“Even though the music of Still Average is considered a mix between pop-punk and post-hardcore, they manage to keep the two genres separate when writing songs. While similar bands of this genre tend to be more post-hardcore-based with pop-punk elements, Still Average leans in the opposite direction with pop-punk being their base and post-hardcore elements added as a secondary genre. Thus, they separate themselves from most of the bands that influence them.”

MarsBands Review

If you’re having one of those days where you just can’t seem to sit still and everybody is looking at you like you’re a little crazy, then listen to Still Average and crank it up all the way – That way you’ll have a good excuse to be jumpin’ and shakin’!

If Pop/Punk is your thing, you’re going to love Still Average, as they are anything but average. But music aside, Sean Hamilton and Dan Higman are the kinds of musicians the world needs more of. They have a dream and no matter what obstacles the world has thrown at them, they continue on. Coming from personal experience, having a revolving door of band-mates is a tough thing to deal with. And if you don’t believe me, just ask Tsunami Bomb. But despite band member challenges, Sean and Dan have stuck with it and continue to make awesome music for your ears. Dedication and determination are key ingredients to being successful in the music industry.

And now the music: It is fantastic music. The best way I can explain Still Average’s music is to say it’s like a having multiple personalities. There’s a very distinct Pop side (Sean’s singing) which will get your feet tapping and head bobbing. And then there’s the Hardcore side (Dan’s screaming) which is an explosive release of pent up emotion and passion. And then there’s the Punk side of Still Average’s music which is an elegant blend of both the Pop and Hardcore aspects of the music, creating an entirely different sound and feel altogether. It’s like listening to three different bands at one time!

Of the many songs they have available for your listening pleasure on ReverbNation, my favorite was Dear Anonymous. I think if they try to build an audience with that type of music, Still Average should do just fine in capturing some ears in the music world. Dear Anonymous does a great job of showcasing all the perks and talents of Still Average in one catchy song. It has the Pop, Punk, and Hardcore aspects of the band’s sound all wrapped up in a quick beat. And once you’ve given that song a listen, you’ll start to get reeled in with each song you listen to after that.

And if you are curious, the next song you should listen to is Memories of You. As you all know, I am a huge fan of harmony, and Memories of You has plenty of harmony! It again has a fantastically Poppy beat, but the vocal harmony is what makes it superb in my book. So be sure to give that song a listen as well, because I’m betting you’ll like it, too.

So let’s review, shall we? If you are a fan of musicians with a steadfast determination, who make catchy, Poppy, Punky, Hardcore music that will get your ass up out of a chair and dancing, then you will quickly become a fan of Still Average. There’s a lot to like. If you like smooth vocals with a fresh, Poppy feel, then Sean will win your ears over in a heartbeat. If you like something a bit more raw, passionate, and explosive, then Dan’s vocals will draw you in like a magnet.

So there you have it, folks. Good music that you need to be aware of. Play it loud, play it proud! Also, be sure to check out their video above for their song Memories of You. Enjoy!

Andrea Plamondon Featuring Safffra Background Info

The New England born artist, actress, lyricist, and vocalist, began performing in theatre and musicals at age 14, and was first noticed by visiting artist Rick Brant of the N.Y. Metropolitan Opera. Brant told Plamondon, she had a voice that would land her “leading roles with the Met”, should she so desire. At age 19, she had been attending Mass College of Art on a full scholarship, when the suicide of her older and only brother left Andrea reeling.

Leaving her eastern roots behind, with guitar in hand, she began a hitchhiking adventure which would take her from coast to coast, as far north as Inuvik in the arctic circle, and back east to Quebec. In total, she traversed the North American continent seven times, meeting countless characters, and once being given a ride by an impressed member of the multi-platinum and Grammy winning band “Earth Wind and Fire”.

Eventually Andrea settled in San Francisco where she earned a bachelor of Humanities with an emphasis in poetics, and pursued studies in Middle Eastern, Turkish and 14th century Ladino music, plus over ten years training in classical voice and opera. As an artist who combines vocal prowess, and a flair for improvisation with contemporary genres, Plamondon’s work is both atmospheric and entrancing.

She has performed in many of San Francisco’s most popular clubs and venues, including the opening for the S.F. Burning Man Festival at the San Francisco Opera Plaza, and the S.F. Middle Eastern Festival held at the eclectic Noe Valley Ministry. Andrea is currently working with rapper and hiphop artist Terblelos of Ghana Africa, on the transoceanic project “Safffra”.

MarsBands Review

Andrea Plamondon has an incredibly strong voice which is immediately evident once you take a listen to her music. Not only is it strong, it is brilliantly sound and pitch perfect. It’s so astounding more people aren’t aware of her voice that it’s almost criminal.

A voice this strong, this well tuned, this amazing should be heard by people the world over. She has the kind of voice that Opera singers and the stars on Broadway would sell their soul for. Andrea has the type of voice that would fit into a lot of genres, which explains why her musical style is so encompassing.

Ranging from Soft Rock to Hip Hop (with some hints of Electronic) to Punk to Rock and everything in between, Andrea Plamondon featuring Safffra easily appeals to a very wide audience. The first time you listen you’ll be hooked by her strong voice which, the more you listen, the more you are drawn in.

Putting you nearly into a trance, her voice resonates melodically. Singing in perfect harmony with the music, you can’t help but feel the music, not just hear it. The best way to describe the music is just the way it’s described in her bio; atmospheric.

When you listen to the music from Andrea Plamondon feat. Safffra, you feel like it is surrounding you, gently wrapping you in sound like a warm blanket. This won’t make any sense until you listen to the music, but it feels like the music is coming from all corners of the room, bombarding you in melody, harmony, elegance, raw power and emotion.

But this isn’t just music. No, this is way beyond music. This is performance art for the ears, ladies and gentlemen; The very thing MarsBands has been trying to remind people of. Music is about self-expression, it’s about art, it’s about sharing emotions in the only way that makes sense. This is a woman who has endured the worst that life could throw at her, and instead of being destroyed by it, she was born anew. Born out of tragedy – as the best music, unfortunately, so often is – the beautiful, caressing music of Andrea is nothing if not passionate and full of emotion.

If you’re in the mood for something that will captivate not just your ears but your mind as well, you can’t do any better than Andrea Plamondon feat. Safffra. My favorite song was “No More Silence ft. Joy FM”. It has a great beat and really shows how diverse Andrea’s music can be, as it has a slight Punk Rock edge to it. What is your favorite song? Let us know in the comments below, and as always, enjoy!

Bulwark Background Info

“Bulwark is a progressive metal band originating from Paris Ontario. As you could imagine in a humble town such as ours, there is limited supply of musicians. Even rarer are those of the heavy variety. Thus making Bulwark a collective of five members with contrasting musical taste and ideals towards how music should be written. For this reason we use the word progressive to help describe our sound.”

MarsBands Review

For me, listening to Metal is a great thing to do when I’m pissed off. The screaming, the growling, the complete and total expulsion of every emotion parallelled with smashing drums, shredding guitars and chest thumping bass. And if you’re looking for some good Metal to listen to, look no further than Bulwark. Bulwark is loud, heavy (very heavy), powerful Metal Rock that will shake you to your core!

Bulwark does a great job of changing speeds mid-song and keeping you on your toes. Their latest EP, Excursion, has a fantastic blend of fast and slow songs. The opening song off their EP, “Pharisee”, is so hard and fast that it will likely give you whiplash from excessive head-banging. But within that vicious ferocity is a calm, passionate delivery of emotion. Nobody can listen to Bulwark and say they don’t give it everything they’ve got. From the furious snare of the drums to the face-melting guitar, Bulwark’s sound is intimidating.

My favorite song was “Utopia”. It has a great little riff at the beginning followed by the haunting and foreboding vocals of Dylan Zizzo that slowly draws you into the song. Utopia every so slowly builds more and more, gets heavier and heavier, and gets you to the point where you are on the edge of your seat just waiting for the inevitable release of primal energy. And for a guy that does a lot of screaming, Zizzo’s voice is actually quite nice and, dare I even say, elegant? When you hear Zizzo sing in “Utopia” and “NatureWalk”, you really start to realize how talented a singer he is.

In reality, Metal bands are quite possibly some of the most athletic bands of all. All drummers are pretty much badasses in my book, but if you’ve never seen a drummer for a Metal band perform live, I implore you to do so. You will quickly discover how unimaginably difficult a job it is. Bulwark’s drummer, Coe Churchward, deserves quite a pat on the back, as he is nothing if not unrelentingly vicious and highly skilled.

You won’t get short-changed with Bulwark. For one, you can download their EP by naming your own price. For two, their shortest song is just over five and a half minutes. And these aren’t long songs full of unnecessary guitar solos or 4 minute jam-sessions. Each and every second builds off the last. And with each passing second your ears are pummeled with the most beautifully violent musical fury you may ever have the pleasure of listening to. The music Bulwark makes is simply fantastic. The harmony, melody, and sheer passion of this band might very well catch you off guard. Do your ears a favor and give a listen to Bulwark and enjoy!

Nathan Diller Background Info

“Nashville-based singer/songwriter Nathan Diller, has just released his first EP, Frenzy, a compilation of six songs that range from melodic ballads to high-octane pop. Diller, 19, grew up in a musical household on a steady diet of Aimee Mann, Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, The Goo Goo Dolls and Jeff Buckley. His tastes have broadened to include OneRepublic, Jason Mraz, Michelle Branch, Rooney and Lily Allen.”

“He discovered a love of singing early on and became actively involved in community theater. Soon, his time was consumed with voice, piano and dance lessons. Guitar quickly followed. After spending several years playing writer’s nights and various shows, the EP was the natural progression. Diller wrote all of the songs on the EP and spent close to a year – on and off – in the studio. “These songs are little pieces of time, he says, “snapshots of life as I see it.” ”

MarsBands Review

A star in the making, Nathan Diller has a silky smooth voice and the songwriting abilities of a seasoned pro. It’s only a matter of time before fans start jumping on his bandwagon in droves. Unless catchy beats, harmony, and melody aren’t your thing, chances are pretty good that Nathan Diller’s songs will worm their way into your brain and take up permanent residence.

It’s always fun to see what music people grew up listening to and how it has influenced their sound. When I was growing up I spent my music listening time between my dad’s Pink Floyd, Zepplin, Steppenwolf, Beatles, and The Doors records, and Bush, Nirvana, Greenday, and the like.

And now here’s Nathan Diller, 19 years old, and grew up listening to Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, The Goo Goo Dolls, Jeff Buckley, Michelle Branch, and Jason Mraz. That’s not such a bad way to be introduced to music, is it? And you can certainly see how listening to those bands and musicians has influenced Nathan’s overall sound. For example, Nathan’s song “Long Gone” sounds like a brilliant mix of The Goo Goo Dolls and Michelle Branch.

If you are a regular here at MarsBands, you may remember our review of Orla Gartland – a very young, but unbelievably talented girl, whose word-play and musical knowledge was so impressive I was compelled to write and share her music. Nathan has that same youth/talent/knowledge mix. It’s not something you can teach. Some people are just born possessing all the skills needed to be a successful musician. Not all of them, however, are comfortable taking such a risk.

Nathan has taken that first step and isn’t afraid to showcase his talents. You can be sure his determination will be rewarded. Superior skills and talent do not go unnoticed forever, despite what some people might have you think. Nathan’s skills and talents, while impressive now, are only going to be getting stronger and more impressive as the months and years fly by.

So there he is, people. Nathan Diller. High energy, tremendous passion, loads of talent, catchy grooves and smart lyrics. In the music biz, we call that “the whole package”. Keep a close eye on this guy, as something tells me you’ll be hearing a lot more about him in the not too distant future. He’s got a lot of different things going for him at the moment and there’s a ton of potential there. With a little patience, a little time, and some more ears, Nathan Diller could quickly become a household name. I would recommend that you check out the song “Long Gone” first, because that was my favorite. If you’re looking for something with a little faster beat, then I would suggest you check out “Electricity”. Enjoy!

Marsbands Review

Want to hear something awesome? Of course you do, that’s why you come to MarsBands, right?! Plus, it’s Tuesday, meaning you probably haven’t gotten back in to the swing of things this week just yet. Weekend hangovers are tough, so you need something to lift your spirits.

Well get ready for something so awesome that you’ll need to hold on to your socks (for fear that they may be knocked off, not that sock gremlins may come and steal them while you sleep at night… I digress)! Ruby in the Rib Cage will get your ears dancing. And while dancing ears may seem like an anatomical impossibility, it just simply goes to show you how good Ruby and the Rib Cage’s music is!

What do you get when you listen to Ruby and the Rib Cage? Well, for starters you get a woman whose voice is crazy strong and beautiful. ”Crazy strong” doesn’t do Ruby’s voice justice. We’re talking more powerful than a locomotive strong, April Smith strong, bordering on Allison Crowe strong. Her voice is brilliant, crisp, and uplifting. Matching the vocals, the music is upbeat and positive. If you happen to be in a bad mood when you start to listen to Ruby and the Rib Cage, I would bet when you’re done listening you won’t be in a bad mood anymore.

Give a listen to Ruby and the Rib Cage via SoundCloud below and be amazed! Also, I strongly suggest that you check out the video above for “Horrors”. It sounds so good, you won’t believe it’s live. But it is – and it is amazing! Happy Tuesday peeps!

Blood Stained Notes Background Info

Blood Stained Notes are a 5 piece rock band from Aberdeen, Scotland. With influences ranging from Grunge, to Sabbath, to old-school punk, they have created their original sound. The bands debut EP, Army With Me, featuring four tracks, will be due for release in Spring 2013.

Vocal – Jace Parker: It is no surprise from his unmistakable gravel lined vocal that his influences include grunge scene legends, Chris Cornell, Layne Stayley and Eddie Vedder. A recent UK Songwriting semi finalist with his rock inspired lyrics, he also puts pen to paper for the band.

Guitar/Vocals – Pete The Riff: A veteran of the Aberdeen music scene and the main driving force behind the bands original sound. The Riff has previous form including doing time with Punk revitalists 16 Again, 2-tone Tribute act AKA Ska and stints with The Thorns and One God Universe.

Guitar – Bob Matheson: The most recent member of the band and self confessed metal head. His influences include Metallica and Trivium, which can easily be heard as he peels HEAVY riffs from his Ibanez, adding a metal cherry to and otherwise grungy pie.

Bass – Arne Wern: Possibly Aberdeens best German import. Arne’s bass playing is equally as sharp as his look, but don’t let the perfect hair and dark rimmed glasses fool you. This man knows how to Rock!

Drums – Double D: Some say his hair is made of real flames. This fiery drummer is the backbone to BSN, executing beats that could rocket you into space and bring you crashing back to earth at the drop of his high hat.

MarsBands Review

While possessing a fantastic Grunge-Rock sound, Blood Stained Notes also has a slight bit of Classic Rock to their music as well as just a hint of Punk, which should be more than enough to please the ears of even the pickiest of music lovers. As I listened to Blood Stained Notes I was quite impressed with their music. It was something new and unique while at the same time, because of the Grunge sound, it was something familiar and comforting. If I may be so bold, Blood Stained Notes’ music conjured up thoughts of the hay-day of Grunge Rock when bands like STP and Alice in Chains graced the ears of fans everywhere.

If you are a fan of awesome guitar solos, you’re going to find yourself uncontrollably drawn to Blood Stained Notes. Their music is technically sound; excellent transitions from verse to chorus to bridge. No extra, unnecessary notes. No out-of-the-way or crazy, absurd riffs. It’s just straightup Rock that will have your head bobbing along to the beat. Much of Blood Stained Notes’ music is slow and methodical, patiently reeling you in with every exciting snap of the snare drum and thump of the bass.

A lot of bands will come up with some songs and just as soon as you start to feel it, it’s over. That won’t happen when you are listening to Blood Stained Notes. Their songs aren’t short and sweet. Rather, Blood Stained Notes’ songs are all nearly four minutes long and approach the often discussed but seldom heard “Power Ballad”. ”Out of Reach” would get that label, if I were the decider of such things. It is a powerful, passionate song that you can’t help but feel every note of.

The Classic Rock part of Blood Stained Notes’ sound was most evident to me with their song “How Do You Like It”, which was my second favorite song. While being a seemingly simple song, it seemed like there was a lot going on with this song because of the intricate guitar riff being played throughout the song instead of using power-chords. Add to that the background guitar solo and then the awesome wah-filled guitar solo towards the end of the song, and you have yourself one hell of a great song.

My favorite song was “These Four Walls”, and once you listen to it you’ll understand why. It’s a fantastic song. It’s hard, it’s loud, it’s excellent Grunge-Rock with even a teasing of Metal. Jace Parker’s voice was made for this kind of music. In all honesty, Blood Stained Notes is in the wrong point in time. And I don’t mean that as a bad thing, because if Grunge wants to make a comeback, I’m all for it. But this band’s music would have been perfect in the 90s. I can easily see them in my collection with STP, Alice, and maybe even with Soundgarden.

If you’re looking for something to take you back to the good ‘ol days when Grunge Rock was THEE Rock, you can’t do much better than Blood Stained Notes. MarsBands highly recommends them and in turn you should recommend them to everyone you know. Give them a listen and enjoy!

The Stickies Background Info

The Stickies are Nick and Angelo Bachicha, a two-piece Indie Rock band from Round Rock, Texas. Although some fans describe The Stickies as charm rock, Rise Up Music wrote that they are like “Oasis having a kid with Panic At The Disco, who only plays cover songs of Ben Kweller!”

Stick Em’ Up, The Stickies debut album, is scheduled for release on February 23rd, 2013. The album will be available on www.thestickiesband.com, with digital distribution through iTunes, Amazon.com, and other major online stores. With catchy choruses, tight vocal melodies, and occasional soaring guitar solos reminiscent of The White Stripes, The Stickies deliver high-energy entertainment, with complete authenticity.

The Stickies have expanded their sound since their first EP, with such songs as “Desert Sorrow,” a fast-tempo rock powerhouse, and “Are You Happy,” an introspective look on love that can only be described as beautifully depressing. “Burning Hearts,” the last songs written for the album, was forged from intense sorrow and is The Stickies most emotional track, filled with gorgeous arpeggios, passionate vocals, and heartbreaking reservation, all within four minutes.

MarsBands Review

If you’re a fan of The Front Bottoms you could easily become a fan of The Stickies. Possessing the same musical power and clever lyrics, The Stickies will catch your attention with their music and make you stick around with their intricately crafted lyrical genius. From your first listen, you’ll be amazed how much emotion and feeling each song is composed and performed with. Nick and Angelo don’t hold back and don’t half-ass anything. And their album isn’t lacking in material, either – 15 tracks and nearly 50 minutes of harmony filled, passionately brilliant music that will satisfy even the pickiest of listeners.

One of the things I liked most about The Stickies’ new album, Stick Em’ Up, was their ability to seemingly change up their sound with every song. A veritable smorgasbord of exceptional skill and elite creativity, The Stickies seamlessly blend elements of Rock, Pop, Acoustic, and at times perhaps even a little hint of Folk into their new album. They refuse to fall into any one genre. And while that may be disconcerting for some people, for me, it’s a sign of true creativity. Having a signature sound is nice, but not knowing what to expect with every song and being pleasantly surprised (and at times even amazed) by the brilliant uniqueness of each song is way better. Who doesn’t like to be surprised?

Another thing I really enjoyed was how harmony-driven the album was. Nick and Angelo are like peanut-butter and jelly. They just go together perfectly. Their voices blend together quite elegantly to create an altogether different level of awesomeness. Personally, I’m a huge fan of harmony and the more harmony a song or album has, the better. And The Stickies’ debut album doesn’t skimp on harmony. If harmony gets you all hot and bothered, you’re going to love this album.

And lastly, the music itself is expertly crafted. This is, for the most part, a rather simple album. There aren’t any drums, nothing over-the-top, no crazy guitar-shredding or mosh-pitting. Yet in the simplicity of this album, the true elegance is revealed. Despite what mainstream radio or American Idol may say, there’s more to a good song than a catchy chorus. Listen to any song on Stick Em’ Up as proof of my claim. These aren’t just songs that a couple guys got drunk and made up one night. These songs have meaning, they have passion, and each and every song has a soul of its own that you get the unique pleasure of viewing, touching, and hearing.

My favorite song on the album was probably Desert Sorrow, but it was followed up closely by Oh Darling Girl (LOVED the guitar solo), It’s Alright, Tomorrow Is Another Day, and Tonight The Light. Give The Stickies a listen and let me know what your favorite songs are! After you’ve listened and been thoroughly amazed, tell your friends! Also, be sure to check out their video above from YouTube for their song Are You Happy.

Couple Background Info

One of the few true blue power pop bands in the region, Couple has been plying its trade for years now, dedicating itself to remind people of the virtues and magic of ‘the song’, and the power of the pop!! Taking cues from bands like The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Big Star, The Who, The Raspberries, The Beat, The Rooks, Enuff Znuff and Weezer, Couple has kept on doing what they do best and hope to put a smile (and hopefully a headbang or toe-tap or two) on all youse guys’ faces. But, making you wet your pants will make us equally happy too!!

Relying solely, and foolishly, on the dodgy songcraft of our dodgy and lame frontman, Aidil, Couple has continued to defy the odds as none of us can play our instruments competently to save our lives, hoping to inspire similarly incompetent kids to just form their own bands and stick it to the Man!! Our live shows are textbook examples of the triumph of substance over style, if you call professional musicianship ‘style’, that is. Sloppy and loud, with more than a touch of toilet humor in our lame crowd banter (if we’re up for it!!), our live shows will never fail to make you wet your pants with laughter and icky stuff. Yes, we’re THAT good and THAT bad!! (via ReverbNation)

MarsBands Review

Think a Malaysian Weezer with a mix of Greenday, with a spritz of Pop. It’s good music – catchy, has a good beat, well-crafted – but I have no clue what they are saying. But if you’re familiar with me and my requirements for good music, being able to understand what people are saying isn’t as important as the music. Which, as you might recall, is why I am a fan of bands like Superbus, InCulto (who broke up), Ladylike Lily, etc.

Couple has a few sides to them that you’ll discover as you listen. They can be Poppy, they can be harder and Rockier, and they can even be gentle and soft. There’s bound to be something there for even the pickiest of ears to enjoy. So do yourself a favor today and give Couple a listen. Enjoy!
